The Sawua-Aboaso Nkosou Nnwuma (SANN) is an educa-tional programme initiated in 1984 by the people of Sawua-Aboaso in the Bosomtwi Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Asante Region. SANN was recognized as a non-governmen-tal organization (NGO) in 1989 with the Reg.No.D.S.W./339.
It helps people through education to reflect on problems such as illiteracy, poverty, unemployment, poor health, HIV/AIDS etc., which are common in rural areas of Ghana.
